A Night Of History At The Bush Presidential Library
Not everywhere has a presidential library, and sometimes these can be overlooked. But you can have a sneaky good time at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, and this weekend is a great time to do it.
This Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00PM, spend some time learning about the early 2000s at an open house at the presidential library. On focus at this event is a special painting by Tom Lea that was once proudly hung in the Oval Office. Admission is free for all, so come enjoy some history that reflects both Texan culture and the landscape of the United States.

On Monday, many of us will have the day off of work to spend celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. And what better way to do it than by coming out to the MLK Day Parade in Fair Park!
This event starts with a kickoff at 9:00AM, so be sure to show up bright and early to grab a great spot. With over 250 entries, there will be no shortage of entertainment at the parade. This is a fun and free way to learn about Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrate his legacy.
